The Snake and Raven is a beautiful piece of functional art that you can take with you wherever you go! Handmade in our workshop in beautiful Lanark County, Ontario. The body and lid of the bag is made from sturdy and reliable vegetable-tanned cow leather, treated and preserved with neatsfoot oil to keep it moisturized. The gusset of the bag is made from a brown-dyed deerhide buckskin, sourced either from local suppliers here in Lanark or else upcycled from the highest quality material we can find. The lid clasps shut with a beautiful engraved concho decorated with the swirling patterns.
The lid of the bag is hand-carved and painted with two fantastic Norse creatures of my own design, flanking the powerful Valknut symbol. Nothing is known for sure about the origins of this strange icon, though it is often used in association with Odin and warriors.
