The Artwork
The hand-carving and artwork on this bag is inspired by the motifs and engravings of the Moon Rabbit from Aztec mythology. The Aztec moon rabbit is a figure from mythology depicting a rabbit's silhouette on the moon, symbolizing sacrifice, humility, and the god Quetzalcoatl's gratitude.
The Quality
This entire belt bag is handmade; cut, carved, embossed, painted and sewn entirely by hand in our workshop. We use eco-friendly vegetable-tanned leather for the body of the bag and reclaimed garment leather for the gusset walls. The bag uses steel snap as a closure and features a belt loop for wearing at the hip. We use eco-friendly water-based paints and dyes as well as strong waxed thread to make all of our productions.
Dimensions: Standard small belt bags measure 12.5 cm across, 11.5 cm tall and a width of 4 cm.
