This small belt bag is handmade, carved and painted with a motif of two peacocks standing by the "Tree of Life". This motif was discovered on a medallion on a gilded silver strap end in Mikulcice, Czech Republic.
The lid and front are made from vegetable-tanned leather, while the walls are made from a brown-dyed deerskin. The bag is sewn with waxed linen thread, and closes shut using an decorated metal concho.
