The Helm of Awe belt bag is handcrafted, carved and painted with the powerful image of the Helm of Awe, encircled by Elder Futhark runes. The Helm of Awe is a modern Icelandic magical stave associated with the Volsunga Saga.
The lid and front are made from vegetable-tanned leather, while the walls are made from a black-dyed deerskin. The bag is sewn with waxed linen thread, and closes shut using a metal snap.
