It is completely handcrafted: The body and lid of the bag is made from sturdy and reliable vegetable-tanned cow leather, treated and preserved with neatsfoot oil to keep it moisturized. The gusset of the bag is made from a tough yet flexible, brown-tanned leather. The lid clasps shut with a clean, brass colored snap.
The lid of the bag is hand-carved and painted with a design based on a cluster of maple leaves in the fall.
