The Tree of Life bag is a one-of-a-kind shoulder bag; a beautiful piece of functional art that you can take with you wherever you go! The body of the bag is made of a sturdy and reliable vegetable-tanned cow leather, treated and preserved with neatsfoot oil to keep it moisturized, while the walls and floor of the bag are a single piece of flexible, yet tough oil-tanned leather. The lid closes shut around an articulating metal ring, which can be bent to keep it closed. The bag is sewn together using a leather lace and it comes with a leather strap made from a single piece of vegetable-tanned leather, which can be adjusted to suit your preference for length.
The lid and body of the bag are both hand-carved, stamped and painted with knotwork designs. The lid features the iconic and easily recognizable Tree of Life, a motif that belongs not only to the ancient Celts, but to many cultures across the world. The front of the bag is decorated with stylized knotwork corners, and the borders of the lid and body are stamp-rolled with a charming knotwork border.
